Boys' Latin defeat St. Paul's to finish the regular season undefeated

For the second consecutive year, Boys’ Latin of Baltimore, Maryland has gone undefeated in the regular season. The Lakers capped off their 16-0 run in an 18-12 victory over 9^th ranked St. Paul’s on May 6.

On Latin’s “Senior Day,” the Lakers’ seniors showed up. All-star attackman Shack Stanwick chalked up eight points from three goals and five assists. Midfielder Keegan O’Connor and attackman Colin Chell both added on three goals of their own.

The Lakers powered through the first half, taking a 12-3 lead in the first half. The two teams split six goals in the third to send it to the final quarter with a 15-6 advantage for Boy’s Latin.

The Crusaders showed a strong showing in the fourth; however Latin’s lead was insurmountable. Leading with six goal lead, the Lakers completed the undefeated season.

Ranked 1^st in the DigitalSports National Lacrosse Rankings, Boys’ Latin takes the top seed in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association playoffs. The MIAA is arguably the most competitive high school lacrosse league.

Last year, the Lakers reached the championship game, losing to Loyola-Blakefield 10-9. Boys’ Latin is determined to take their 16-game win streak into the playoffs and this time, come out on top.
